About Michael Attachi
Founder of Blue Print GovCon & Co. LLC
Michael Attachi (GS-15) served as the Deputy Client Executive and Competition Advocate at GSA Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS), a Fee for Service organization, providing contracting and program support to federal agencies. In this role, he provided leadership to an organization of 90 acquisition professionals that obligated over a billion dollars to support small business initiatives. Prior to this position, from 2013 to 2023, Michael served in a variety of GS-15 leadership roles as the Deputy Regional Commissioner, Director of Contracting, Director of Assisted Acquisitions, and Director of Business Operations at GSA providing full scale pre-award, award, and post award functions. In these roles, he was responsible for setting the strategic leadership direction and cultivating long term client relationships with stakeholders to manage and grow a portfolio valued at $400M.
In the past, Michael was the Deputy Chief of Contracting (GS-14) for Cyber/Integration Division at Hanscom Air Force Base. Prior to this position, he was part of the management team overseeing the Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) portfolio. Over his 25 year federal contracting career, he has held unlimited warrants at GSA, EPA, and Air Force. He began his federal career (GS-4) in contracting in 2000 with the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Michael has participated in leadership development programs as a senior executive fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and Squadron Officer’s School, as a civilian, at Maxwell Air Force Base. Michael also studied internationally with American University of Rome, Italy, and holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Endicott College. He was an unlimited Contracting Officer Warrant holder for over 20 years and held Level III FAC-C Professional designations in Contracting and Contracting Officer Representative functions.
Michael has been a featured speaker at NCMA, AFCEA New Horizons, and at GSA events.
